Cadiz and the Constitution of 1812

Cadiz was pretty much the Philadelphia of Spain, 200 years ago.

Tomorrow is the Bicentennial of the First Spanish Constitution, known as “La Pepa”. It was signed and written here in Cadiz because the rest of the peninsula was inundated with French troops. The king, Juan Carlos II is coming tomorrow. I live in between the town square and the cathedral square. It´s pretty cool to be literally living on top of such a big event. Hoping to get to see the king tomorrow. (I hope I am able to get out of my house - I suppose a lot of people are going to be cramming the streets for a once in a lifetime historical event)

This video is really cool because it shows places that I see everyday.
